A unit on Human Rights. This unit has provided the 4 ESO students with the necessary strategies to identify discrimination and to learn about the several ways there are to make people feel different, unconfortable, less clever and sad. The unit takes students through a path where they read about sexual minorities, racial discrimination, disabled minorities to make them reflect on the facts that we are all different in one or several ways but discrimination is not a solution, discrimination is not clever. Then they learn about "learned helplesnes" and have an experiment done in the class. The main objective is to empower the student not to let anyone make them feel down, not smart enough just because they are different. And finally they produce a presentation and a Golden code which they have shown in a visible place in the school. I think students have enjoyed the unit quite a lot and they have had the chance to learn using a project based approach. Here are some pictures. Enjoy the videos and the pictures!!
